2008 Preview and 2007 Wrap-Up

The Telecast
The It Is Written television program reaches
people in 143 nations of the world in 11 languages. It regularly ranks in
Nielsen’s listing of the top religious television programs in North America. In
addition, Está Escrito is one of the most far-reaching Spanish religious
telecasts in the world, and the new Australian telecast is now the #1 religious
program in Australia!
Remote Missions
In 2007, It Is Written (in partnership
with the Pilgrim Relief Society) opened a remote tribes training school in
Romania. Other projects included Inuktitut Bible distribution in the Arctic, and
the delivery of solar-powered "Godpods" and water systems to the San tribe of
the Kalahari Desert.
In the coming year, the ministry will return to the Kalahari and provide an additional 50 water systems, along with a missionary center and school. Other projects include a community center in the Arctic, as well as a church for the Lugbara tribe and multiple churches for the Bambute pygmies in the Congo.
Public Evangelism
It Is Written has a passion for
evangelism, and this year’s efforts included evangelistic meetings in
Cochabamba, Bolivia; Out of Thin Air, a timely series about the
creation/evolution debate, and the Peru Caravan of the Pacific.
Upcoming projects include providing bicycles, motorcycles, boats, projectors and generators to the pastors of Peru, as well as holding a series in the heart of Budapest in March 2008. The ministry will also impact North America for Christ as the Good News will be shared with Portland during a series in February 2008, and across Los Angeles in multiple efforts taking place in 2009.
The Web
Through the streaming media lab, daily A Better Way to Live devotionals
are arriving on computers via the It Is Written website, YouTube, GodTube,
iTunes and RSS feeds.
